My favorite food is critically endangered predatory animals. As soon as polar bears reach that point, I'm agoin' a'huntin'. Sea otters are another fine delicacy. I hope to put enough of them on the dinner table to allow shellfish to return from extinction. I hear sea lion meat is pretty tasty too. Sea lions are wiping out the salmon and I like to eat salmon.
Predatory animals that get protected status are happily demolishing OUR food stocks of fish and shellfish. The obvious solution to this is to put predatory animals on the menu. If we eat all the lions, think of how many more zebras will then be left alive for us to eat. Likewise if we eat all the crocodiles, and I hear croc tail tastes like lobster. Mmmm good. Yep, time to stop sharing the bounty with a bunch of useless hungry mouths that not only contribute nothing to our societies but often eat us as well.
