The strip joints thing is unfortunately totally a Hollywood fantasy. Strip clubs are actually pretty rare anywhere but they present such a wonderfully salacious background when you want to make any sort of crime-type movie. There's a half-dozen small towns around here and not one strip joint. What a shame.

Actually, the REAL ANSWER is called Venlafaxine HCL. You can keep on getting depressed as all hell if it pleases you but I got sick and tired of feeling sad all day and having sad thoughts all the time, figured out that I was suffering from depression and went to see the doctor. Now I'm past that bullshit and enjoying life again. We tried a different drug on me at first but it made me act weirder than I usually do, so I switched to the above. I started out taking the smallest time-release capsules they make, one a day, but my short term memory really went south. So I cut back to one every 3 or 4 days, which worked fine. Now I'm down to 1 a week (don't tell the doctor) and I may get off them entirely before much longer.
Depression is a mindset, get out of it for long enough and it won't come back with any luck. In other words, my friend, go take a pill.
